Join the celebration with great prizes and awesome entertainment!
Bright, modern, vibrant and fresh. These are the first impressions that welcome you to the newly refurbished Ottery Centre, where a multimillion makeover has turned one of Cape Town’s oldest shopping centres into one of the Mother City’s most youthful-looking shopping and meeting destinations.
The transformation has been dramatic – inside and out. Interiors now boast gleaming new floor tiles, modern paint finishes, bright light fittings and other architectural features – all designed to create a superior shopping experience.
Shopping is a pleasure
Three completely redesigned entrances make for improved pedestrian and trolley traffic flow, while the upgraded parking area has made room for additional bays which are free for customers. Security is a top priority for the centre and as such a new perimeter fence has been installed and, together with the 24/7 security patrol, provides enhanced security for shoppers.
A celebration of youth
To celebrate the completion of the rejuvenation, Ottery Centre has launched the Celebrate Youth campaign – with lots of daily special offers from Ottery Centre shops including a chance to win a Toyota Etios sponsored by Halfway Toyota Ottery and a talent competition that will prove just how talented our youngsters really are.
A feast of food offerings
The food court has been treated to a tasteful revamp, with a number of new restaurants and take-away outlets joining the spread. A Cape Town tradition, Snoekies, is now dishing up its fresh fare in the centre, whilst the American-style Dodge City Diner has quickly established itself as the place to meet and eat. For delicious take-home Indian curries and other eastern delights, Pearl of India is set to become a hot favourite.
Newly redecorated Nando’s sit-down restaurant is as popular as ever with its fabulously modern look and people with a taste for life can tuck into what’s on offer at Twin Peak Spur.
New shopping experiences
Welcome new additions include Tekkie Town with its extensive choice of sports and casual footwear, OK Furnishers offering décor at attractive prices and Bed Square for stylish bedroom choices. Traffic Clothing, with its wide selection of male and female fashion and accessories, brings urban street style to Cape Town’s fashion forward youth. Not only better and brighter, but bigger too! Pep and Ackermans have increased their floor space to offer customers more choice and expanded ranges.
Customers can also enjoy visiting their trusted favourites, many of whom have also refurbished their shops: Amigos, Anglo Cape Carpets, Barksole, Bloomberg Gym, Boaters Paradise, Cash Converters, Chatz Connect, Coiffure Ezra Hair & Beauty Salon, Dada’s Spices, F Kahmen Opticians, Fairest Cape Jewellers, Fire ‘n Ice, Harrington’s Dry Cleaners, J Cees Footwear, LA Jeans, Mooo Shoes, MTN Service Provider, Nando’s, Ndulge, Necessities, Pick n Pay Hypermarket, Planet Sweets, SA Post Office, Sheet Street, Smart Men Suit Hire, Soundtech and The Crazy Store.
Wheels to win
To stand a chance of winning a brand-new Toyota Etios 1.5XI, sponsored by Halfway Toyota Ottery, spend R100 or more at any shop in the centre between 17 September and 10 November. Attach the till slip to the entry form (available in shops) and drop it into an entry box which are available throughout the centre. Nine finalists will each receive a Pick n Pay Hypermarket Ottery gift card to the value of R1 000. The competition closes 10 November, so customers are urged to get those entries in.
Your time to shine
The youth theme culminates in the search for “fresh new” talent – and the “Let’s Celebrate Youth!” Talent Show co-sponsored by Pick n Pay Hypermarket Ottery and Ottery Centre. The show takes place on 27 September from 11am until 1pm in the Promotions Court at Entrance 2.
Auditions will be held on Saturday 18 September. Anyone between the ages of 8 and 18 with a talent for entertaining is invited to enter at the Promotions Court, between 10am and 2pm. For more details, please call Andrea on 083 318 6327 or 021 553 0315 during business hours or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Young new looks, old-school values
Whilst the Ottery Centre’s remodeled look has created a better shopping and entertainment environment for customers, the centre remains true to its original promise made in October 1986: it is still the place to go for good choice and good value, and it will always be “your value experience”.
In the spirit of celebration the centre’s shops are running great specials every day.
Celebrate and shop!
The centre’s management team and retailers would like to thank their loyal customers for their support over the years and welcomes you Monday to Friday from 9 am until 5 pm, Saturdays from 9 am until 6 pm and Sundays from 9 am until 2 pm.
